A thought…
Oftentimes when people first hear of mindfulness and meditation they first think of someone silently sitting still for hours on end with absolutely zero thoughts. And then they think “I don’t have time for that” or “I can never stop my thoughts.”
While this is one way to practice, it is not the only way. We can practice mindfulness through our everyday activities. and meditate through our daily routines.
Mindfulness brings our awareness to our thoughts, feelings and emotions as they are. We start to see how we consciously or subconsciously interpret what is going on within us and around us. We let go of achieving results and instead appreciate the process of life. We start to take care of ourselves and in turn can benefit our families, our communities and the world.

About your facilitator:
Izzy is an NYC-based certified meditation and mindfulness instructor with 4 years of experience in leading meditations and 9 years of experience as a financial consultant.
She has led mindfulness sessions and programs with financial firms, local community groups and individuals, ranging from 1-100 people.
Her prior experience working in corporate environments allows her to uniquely understand what many individuals may experience in their day to day life regarding focus, stress and self care.
Her intention in leading mindfulness sessions is providing a moment of rest, reflection and guidance resulting in specific practices tailored to the individual to seamlessly incorporate into their daily lives.
Her mission in life is to support others in connecting deeply to themselves and the world to live in joy, peace and harmony.
